✅ Content Guidelines for Photos, Business Information, and Reviews
Clear, honest, and well-presented content helps users make better decisions and gives every business a fair chance to show what it truly offers. Every business listing, photo, description, and review submitted to Whitefirms.org must follow the guidelines below to maintain trust, accuracy, and platform quality.
A. Business Information Guidelines
Businesses must provide accurate, up-to-date information about their name, business type, location, contact details, services, operating areas, and any other details that help users understand them clearly.
Business descriptions should be truthful, easy to read, and useful for potential customers. A listing should explain what the business offers, who it serves, how it works, its experience, and what makes it reliable. The content should sound genuine and professional, not exaggerated or misleading.
Businesses should avoid unsupported claims such as “No. 1 in the city,” “guaranteed results,” “best service provider,” or similar statements unless they can provide valid proof. Acceptable proof may include recognized awards, industry certifications, third-party rankings, official records, verified customer outcomes, or other credible evidence that can be reviewed if required.
The goal is not to make every business sound perfect. The goal is to help visitors understand the business clearly before they decide to enquire.
B. Photo Guidelines
Photos should give visitors a real and useful view of the business. They should help users understand the location, environment, people, products, services, or work quality before making contact.
Businesses may upload relevant images, such as:
Storefront photos
Interior photos
Team photos
Product images
Service-related visuals
Workplace or worksite images
Completed work or project images
All photos must represent the actual business, service, product, location, team, or work. Images should not mislead visitors, create a false impression, or show something the business does not genuinely offer.
Photos must not include offensive, inappropriate, illegal, or harmful content. Stock images should not be used in a way that makes users believe they are seeing the real business, team, workplace, or service outcome. Images should also not be heavily edited, altered, or enhanced in a way that misrepresents reality.
Uploaded photos should be clear, sharp, and properly visible. We recommend well-lit images with a minimum size of 800 x 600 pixels. Accepted file formats are JPG, PNG, and GIF, and each image file should not exceed 5 MB.
C. Review Guidelines
Users may submit reviews only after having a genuine experience with the listed business. Reviews should help other visitors understand the quality of service, communication, professionalism, reliability, and overall customer experience.
A valid review should be honest, specific, respectful, and based on a real interaction. Reviews should not contain abusive language, personal attacks, false accusations, irrelevant content, or claims that cannot be reasonably supported.
Reviews are meant to guide other users, not to unfairly harm a business or falsely promote it.
D. Prohibited Content
Whitefirms.org does not allow listings, photos, descriptions, or reviews that include:
Adult or explicit content
Illegal products or services
Fraudulent, fake, or misleading businesses
False or manipulated business information
Misleading or deceptive images
Hate speech, abuse, or threatening language

Defamatory, harmful, or unsupported statements

We may reject, edit, or remove any content that violates these guidelines. This includes fake reviews, repeated reviews, spam submissions, misleading images, inappropriate comments, false claims, or any content that affects the trust and safety of users, businesses, or the platform.
When content is removed or rejected, we aim to provide a clear reason to the person who submitted it or to the concerned business owner where appropriate. If you believe your content was removed by mistake, you may request a review. We will review your request and may restore the content or provide further clarification if needed.
